Working with maps

This section describes packages for processing and analysing geographic data, as well as interfaces for working with spatial data based on the Simple Features standard, allowing you to interact effectively with geographic objects and their attributes.

The packages mentioned in the section offer tools for working with NetCDF data, often used in scientific and climate research, and tools are also available for geodetic computing and for working with GeoJSON data for sharing geographic information in web applications.
