Modeling of energy systems
Description
The course Modeling of Energy Systems is designed to study the modeling of electric power systems using the Engee platform usage. You will learn the basics of modeling energy systems using the example of a simple microgrid. You will learn how to simulate and measure the parameters of three-phase circuits, as well as use a static control algorithm.
Each section contains a theoretical part and tasks for self-completion.
Knowledge requirements: completion of courses Welcome to Engee, Visual modeling and Fundamentals of Physical Modeling in Engee.
Total course time: ~3 hours.
Course program
Introduction to the modeling of energy systems
A general idea of microgrids is given. The model of a synchronous generator with an active load and operation with a block is studied Synchronous Machine Measurement.
Three-phase systems
Brief theoretical information about three-phase circuits is given, blocks for modeling three-phase circuits (sources and loads) are studied, as well as methods for measuring voltage, current and power in three-phase circuit models.
Components of energy systems
Blocks for modeling synchronous machines, excitation circuits of a synchronous machine, as well as active and reactive loads with a connection according to the "star" and "triangle" scheme are studied. A generator model with an open control system is being built.
System integration
Working with the Engee application is being studied Data inspector
. The integration of components into a microgrid and a static control system in electric generators are studied. A microgrid model containing two generators with a closed-loop control system is being constructed.
