Power (dq0, Instantaneous)
Page in progress. |
Three-phase instantaneous active and reactive power.
Description
The Power (dq0, Instantaneous) block calculates three-phase instantaneous active and reactive powers from a periodic set of three-phase voltages and currents expressed in the coordinate system .
The calculations are performed using the following formulae:
The Vdq0 and Idq0 inputs (direct axis, quadrature axis and zero-sequence components) of three-phase voltage and current are normally connected to the outputs of the abc-to-dq0 conversion unit. According to these formulae, the current flowing in the RL circuit produces a positive value of P and a positive value of Q. The calculated instantaneous reactive power is accurate only for balanced and harmonic-free three-phase voltages and currents.
