Absolute Reference (G)
Reference point: zero absolute temperature and pressure.
This unit is not recommended for use. |
Description
The Absolute Reference (G) unit is the reference point for pressure and temperature in the gas network. At port A the pressure and temperature are zero.
Unlike other domains, where each topologically separate circuit within a domain must contain at least one reference block, there is no such requirement in gas networks.
The purpose of the Absolute Reference (G) block is to provide a reference for Pressure & Temperature Sensor (G). To measure the absolute pressure and absolute temperature of a node, connect that node to port A of the Pressure & Temperature Sensor (G) block. Connect port B of the Pressure & Temperature Sensor (G) unit to the Absolute Reference (G) unit.
If you use the Absolute Reference (G) unit more than once on the same gas network, it will cause simulations because the gas pressure and temperature cannot be set to absolute zero.
It is not recommended to use this block. Instead, make absolute measurements using the Pressure & Temperature Sensor (G) block by setting the Measurement type to `Absolute'.
