Voltage-Controlled Current Source

Voltage controlled current source.

voltage controlled current source

Description

The Voltage-Controlled Current Source block represents a voltage-controlled current source described by the following equation:

where:

  • - current;

  • - gain;

  • , - values of potential at the control terminals.

To use the unit, connect the + and - ports on the left side of the unit (control ports) to the control voltage source. The two ports on the right side of the block (output ports) represent the current output source. The arrow indicates the positive direction of the output current.

Ports

The block has four electrical ports. The + and - connections on the left side of the unit are control ports and represent the control circuit terminals. The other two ports represent the output current source terminals. The arrow indicates the positive direction of current.

Parameters

Transconductance Gmutual - gain factor
1 1/ohm (by default)

Ratio of output current to control voltage; has conductivity dimension.

Initial value of input voltage v1 - initial value of input (control) voltage v1
`0 (By default)

Initial value of input (control) voltage .

Initial value of output current i2 - initial value of output current i2
0 (By default)

Initial value of output current .
