Description

Block Current-Controlled Current Source It is a current-controlled current source described by the following equation:

Where:

  • — Output current;

  • — gain factor;

  • — current of the control circuit.

To use the unit, connect the + and ports on the left side of the unit (control ports) to the control current source. The arrow between these ports indicates the positive direction of the control current. The two ports on the right side of the unit (output ports) represent the output current source; the arrow indicates the positive direction of the output current.

Ports

The unit has four electrical ports. Connections + and on the left side of the unit are control ports, they represent the terminals of the control circuit. The other two ports represent the terminals of the output current source. Arrows between each pair of ports indicate the positive direction of the corresponding current.

Parameters

Current gain — current gain
1 (by default)

The ratio of the output current to the current flowing through the control circuit; dimensionless coefficient.

Initial value of input current i1 — initial value of input (control) current i1
0 (by default)

Initial value of the input current .

Initial value of output current i2 — initial value of output current i2
0 (by default)

Initial value of the output current .
