Controlled Heat Flow Rate Source

Controlled heat flux source.

controlled heat flow rate source

Description

The Controlled Heat Flow Rate Source unit represents an ideal heat energy source, powerful enough to maintain a given heat flow at the outlet regardless of the temperature difference at the outlet.

A and B are the thermal ports corresponding to the input and output of the source. Port S is the physical port through which the control signal that sets the heat flux is supplied. You can use the full variety of Engee signal sources to create the desired heat flux variation profile. The heat flux through the source is directly proportional to the signal on the S control port.

The positive direction of the block is from port A to port B. This means that a positive signal on port S creates heat flux in the direction from A to B.

Ports

Input

S - heat flux control signal, watts
scalar

Signal input port that sets the heat flux through the source.

A - source input
heat

Heat port corresponding to the source input.

B - source output
heat

Heat port corresponding to the source output.
