High-Frequency Exciter
Electromachine high-frequency excitation.
Description
Unit High-Frequency Exciter is an electro-machine high-frequency excitation, the exciter output voltage depends on its rotational speed, and the exciter shaft is connected to the generator shaft.
The unit High-Frequency Exciter can be used as an exciter in a synchronous generator model with a control system, which is shown in the diagram.
The mathematical model High-Frequency Exciter is presented in the diagram.

Main
# Exciter field time constant T_e, s — exciter time constant
Details
Exciter time constant, in seconds.
Usually the exciter time constant value for the electric machine excitation system is 0.3-0.5 s, for thyristor excitation system - 0.02-0.04 s.
