Self-Excited Exciter

Thyristor self-excitation without series transformer.

self excited exciter

Description

Unit Self-Excited Exciter is a thyristor self-excitation (fed from the busbars of the excited generator) without a series transformer. The unit Self-Excited Exciter can be used as an exciter in a synchronous generator model with the control system shown in the diagram.

self excited exciter 2

The mathematical model Self-Excited Exciter is presented in the diagram.

self excited exciter 1

In the diagram below

  • - is the equivalent time constant of the exciter;

  • - output voltage of the automatic excitation regulator;

  • - excitation voltage;

  • ГГ - current voltage at the generator stator terminals in relative units.
