Perfect Insulator

A thermocouple with zero thermal conductivity and no thermal mass.

perfect insulator

Description

The Perfect Insulator unit presents a thermocouple with zero thermal conductivity and no thermal mass.

You can use this block as insulation for thermal ports to prevent heat exchange with the environment and simulate an adiabatic process. This is not necessary because if you leave a save port unconnected, the physical network will set all Through variables on that port to 0. However, terminator blocks improve the readability of the diagrams.

You can also use this block to set the initial temperature at a node.
