EngeePhased.StretchProcessor
The LCH signal stretcher (active correlator).

|
| Block |
Description
System object EngeePhased.StretchProcessor simulates a correlator of FM signals.
To perform stretching treatment, follow these steps:
-
Create an object EngeePhased.StretchProcessor and set its properties.
-
Call an object with arguments as if it were a function.
To learn more about how to work with system objects, see Engee System Objects.
Syntax
Creation
-
stretchproc = EngeePhased.StretchProcessor()— creates an LCH signal stretcher with by default property values. -
stretchproc = EngeePhased.StretchProcessor(Name=Value)— creates a stretcher of FM signals with specified properties in the form of a pairName=Value, whereName— the name of the property, andValue— appropriate value. You can specify multiple pairs «name-value» the order of the pairs does not matter. Unspecified properties retain their by default values.
Usage
-
Y = stretchproc(X)— applies stretch processing along the first measurement of the signal X. Each column of the X signal represents one received pulse. -
Y = stetchproc(X,PRF)— the PRF argument is used as the pulse repetition rate. This syntax is available if the PRFSource property has a value"Input port".
Arguments
Input arguments
X — input signal
+
the complex matrix
Details
The input signal, given as a complex matrix, has columns. Each column represents one received pulse.
The size of the first dimension of the input matrix can be changed to simulate a change in the length of the signal. A change in size can occur, for example, in the case of a pulse waveform with a variable pulse repetition rate.

PRF —
pulse repetition
rate
positive scalar
Details
Pulse repetition rate (PRF), given as a positive scalar.
Units of measurement — Hz.
Dependencies
To use this argument, set the PRFSource property to "Input port".

Properties
#
SweepSlope —
frequency deviation slope
Real number
Details
The slope of the linear frequency deviations, given as a scalar.
Units of measurement – Hz.
By default — 2e9.
#
PulseWidth —
pulse width
Real number
Details
The width of each pulse, given as a positive scalar.
The value must satisfy the PulseWidth ≤ 1/PRF rule.
Units of measurement – with.
By default — 50e-6.
#
SampleRate —
Sampling rate
Real number
Details
The sampling frequency of the signal, given as a positive scalar.
The ratio of the sampling rate to the pulse repetition rate (PRF) must be a positive integer.
The unit of measurement is Hz.
By default — 1.0e6.
#
PropagationSpeed —
signal propagation speed
Real number
Details
The propagation velocity in m/s, given as a positive scalar.
The speed of light is used By default 299792458.
#
ReferenceRange —
reference range of stretching treatment
Real number
Details
The center of the range of interest, given as a positive scalar.
The reference range should be within the single-digit range of one pulse.
This property can be specified with single or double precision. This property can be customized.
Units of measurement – M.
By default — 5000.
#
PRFSource —
source of pulse repetition values
String
Details
The source of the PRF values for the LF signal correlator, set by one of the following values: "Property" (By default), "Auto" or "Input port".
If you set this property to "Property", PRF is defined by the value of the property PRF.
If you set this property to "Input port", PRF is defined by the input argument PRF.
If you set this property to "Auto", The PRF is calculated from the number of lines in the input signal.
#
SweepInterval —
location of the frequency deviation interval of the FM band
String
Details
The interval of linear frequency deviation, set by one of the following values: "Positive" (By default) or "Symmetric".
If you set this property to "Positive", the spectrum of the signal is expanded in the interval from before , where — width of the scan strip.
If you set this property to "Symmetric", the spectrum of the signal is expanded in the interval from before .
#
RangeSpan —
range of areas of interest
Real number
Details
The length of the interval for the ranges of interest, given as a positive scalar.
The range is centered on the range value specified in the ReferenceRange.
Units of measurement — m.
By default — 500.
Algorithms
System object EngeePhased.StretchProcessor Supports single and double precision for inputs, properties, and arguments.
If the input data X has single precision, then the output data has single precision.
If the input data X has double precision, then the output data has double precision.
The accuracy of the output is independent of the accuracy of the properties and other arguments.
