SFP+

To transmit data with a wide bandwidth of 30.72 MHz in UHD mode, a high-speed SFP+ interface is used. The IP address is set By default to 192.168.2.100. The maximum speed when receiving data from one RX channel is about 1.15 Gbit/s (30.72 MHz × 32 bits + overhead costs), when transmitting and receiving one channel or when receiving two channels - about 2.3 Gbit/s. Despite the wide bandwidth of the physical layer, similar to the original USRP E320, it is impossible to operate in 2 TX / 2 RX, 1 TX / 2 RX, 2 TX / 1 RX modes, and 2 TX mode is available only at 15.36 MHz or lower. It should also be borne in mind that when using the SFP module on a weak PC, the data transfer rate may be lower due to processor performance limitations.

The board uses the U64 SFP+2 connector, and the SFP+1 connector is not involved. Both optical and copper cables can be used for data transmission. Recommended SFP Transceivers:

  • Optical Motiedot 10G SFP+ SM BIDI 10km LC-C;

  • Copper SFP-10G-CU0.5m 10G SFP+ Passive Copper Cable.
