Dynamic Load (Three-Phase)

Dynamic load for a three-phase power supply.

dynamic load three phase

Description

The Dynamic Load (Three-Phase) unit implements dynamic loading for a three-phase power supply.

The table shows how the block calculates the active and reactive power consumption as a function of the supply voltage, .

Range of values Corresponding active and reactive power consumption

The unit simulates a load with an impedance equal to:

In the table:

  • - parameter value Minimum supply voltage (phase-to-phase RMS).

  • - Active power consumption of the Dynamic Load (Three-Phase) unit.

  • - input active power of the unit Dynamic Load (Three-Phase).

  • - reactive power input of the Dynamic Load (Three-Phase) unit.

  • - input reactive power of the Dynamic Load (Three-Phase) unit.

The Dynamic Load (Three-Phase) unit consumes or generates active power depending on the polarity of the input active power . If , the unit consumes active power. If , the unit generates active power.

Load Flow Analysis

If the unit is on a network that is compatible with the time-frequency simulation mode, you can perform a load flow analysis on the network. The load flow analysis provides steady state values that can be used to initialise the machine.
