Description
Block Diode It is a diode with a piecewise linear volt-ampere characteristic (VAC).
If the voltage across the diode is greater than the value of the Forward voltage parameter, then the diode behaves like a linear resistor with a low resistance, determined by the value of the On resistance parameter and a serial voltage source (voltage drop across the diode).
If the voltage across the diode is less than the forward voltage, then the diode behaves like a linear resistor with low conductivity, determined by the value of the conductivity parameter Off conductivity.
With a forward bias of the VAC diode, it is described by the equations:
where
-
— tension;
-
— current;
-
— voltage of the serial source;
-
— direct voltage;
-
— resistance to forward displacement;
-
— conductivity at reverse displacement.
When the VAX diode is reversed, it is described by the equation:
Member ensures that there will be no current discontinuity during the transition between forward and reverse offsets.
Variables
Use the Initial Targets parameter group to set the priority and initial target values for the block parameter variables before modeling. For more information, see Configuring physical blocks using target values.
