Description

Block Diode It is a piecewise linear diode.

If the voltage across the diode is greater than the value of the Forward voltage parameter, then the diode behaves like a linear resistor with a low resistance determined by the value of the On resistance parameter and a serial voltage source (voltage drop across the diode).

If the voltage across the diode is less than the forward voltage, then the diode behaves like a linear resistor with low conductivity, determined by the value of the conductivity parameter Off conductivity.

diode 1

With forward bias, the diode characteristic is described by the equations:

,

,

Where

 • — tension;

 • — current;

 • — voltage of the serial source;

 • — direct voltage;

 • — resistance to forward displacement;

 • — conductivity at reverse displacement.

With a reverse bias, the diode characteristic is described by the equation:

.

Member ensures that there will be no gap in the current during the transition between forward and reverse offsets.

Ports

+ — positive
electricity

The electrical port represents the positive terminal of the diode.

— negative
electricity

The electrical port represents the negative terminal of the diode.

Parameters

Parameters

Forward voltage — minimum voltage at forward bias
0.6V (by default)

The minimum voltage that must be applied to open the diode.

On resistance — forward bias resistance
0.3 Ohm (by default)

The resistance of the diode at forward bias.

Off conductivity — conductivity of the reverse bias
1e−81/ohm (by default)

The conductivity of the diode at the reverse bias.

Initial Targets

Current — initial value of the pass current:q[
] 0 A (by default) | scalar

The initial value of the current.

Voltage — the initial value of the pass voltage:q[
] 0 V (by default) | scalar

The initial value of the voltage.
