Description
Block Rotational Damper It is an ideal mechanical rotational viscous damper described by the following equations:
Where:
-
— torque transmitted through the damper.
-
— damping coefficient (viscous friction).
-
— relative angular velocity.
-
— absolute angular velocities at ports R and C, respectively.
The positive direction of the block is from port R to port C. This means that the torque is positive if it acts in the direction from R to C.
Parameters
Damping coefficient, N*m/(rad/s) — damping coefficient
0.001 N*m/(rad/s) (by default)
The damping coefficient caused by viscous friction.
Initial value of rotational velocity, rad/s — initial value of angular velocity
0.0 (by default)
The initial value of the relative angular velocity.
Initial value of torque, N*m — initial value of torque
0.0 (by default)
The initial value of the torque.
