Modelling a shunt motor

This example shows the modelling of a shunt motor. In the shunt motor, the field and armature windings are connected in parallel. The parameters of the equivalent circuit are the armature resistance , the field resistance Com and the inverse EMF coefficient . The inverse EMF is defined as , where is the excitation current, is the armature current, and is the rotor speed in rad/sec. The inertia of the rotor is 2.2e-4 , and the damping B of the rotor is 2.8e-6 .
