The process of reaching thermal equilibrium

In this example, the process of achieving thermal equilibrium in a closed thermal system will be considered. All types of heat transfer are involved in the process of heat transfer: convective, conductive and radiative heat transfer.

The system itself consists of three parallel connected thermal resistances and three elements responsible for heat transfer. The initial temperature of the thermal mass in the left part of the scheme is 400 K, in the right part of the system is 300 K.

Simulation results:

The result of the simulation is the achievement of thermal equilibrium (equal temperatures in all parts of the system).
