Description
Block Constant Volume Chamber (IL) It is a fixed volume container for an isothermal liquid. The tank has one input, designated A.
The container can exchange mass with the connected isothermal fluid network. The pressure inside the chamber varies depending on the compressibility of the liquid.
The law of conservation of mass relates the mass flow rate to the pressure of the internal unit representing the volume of the liquid:
where
-
— mass consumption on port A. The flow rate associated with the port is positive if the flow enters the block.;
-
— pressure inside the container. There is no flow resistance between port A and the interior of the chamber, so the pressure at port A is assumed to be equal to this pressure., ;
-
— the volume of liquid inside the container;
-
— the density of the liquid mixture.
The liquid can be a mixture of pure liquid and a small amount of air, which is set by the unit Isothermal Liquid Properties (IL), connected to the network. Equations used to calculate , depend on the selected model of the isothermal fluid.
