Absolute Pressure Sensor (IL)
Pressure sensor that measures differential pressure, absolute pressure or gauge pressure.

Description
The Pressure Sensor (IL) unit is an ideal sensor that measures pressure in an isothermal liquid network. There is no mass flow through the sensor.
The unit icon changes depending on the value of the Pressure Measurements parameter, which controls the type of measurement and sensor configuration:
-
When
Pressure difference
is selected, the P signal port outputs the result of the pressure difference measurement at the sensor ports:where:
and are the pressures at the sensor ports. The result is positive if the value on port A is greater than the value on port B.
-
When
Absolute pressure
is selected, the Pa signal port outputs the result of the absolute pressure measurement on port A:where:
- A port pressure measured relative to absolute zero.
In this configuration, the sensor has only one isothermal liquid port.
-
When
Gauge pressure
is selected, the Pg signal port outputs the result of the gauge pressure measurement at port A:where:
- A port pressure measured relative to absolute zero.
- atmospheric pressure.
In this configuration, the sensor has only one isothermal liquid port.
Ports
Output
P - pressure difference, Pa
scalar
Output port of the measured pressure difference value signal.
Dependencies
To use this port, set Pressure Measurements to `Pressure difference'.
Pa - absolute pressure, Pa
scalar
Output port of the measured absolute pressure value signal.
Dependencies
To use this port, set Pressure Measurements to `Absolute pressure'.
Pg is the overpressure, Pa
scalar
Output port of the measured overpressure signal.
Dependencies
To use this port, set Pressure Measurements to Gauge pressure
.
Parameters
Pressure Measurements - type of pressure measurement
Pressure difference
(by default)` | Absolute pressure
| Gauge pressure
Select the pressure measurement type:
-
Pressure difference
- pressure difference. Selecting this option opens the P signal output port and a second isothermal liquid port B. The measurement is positive when the value on port A is greater than the value on port B. -
Absolute pressure
- absolute pressure on port A. When this option is selected, the Pa signal output port is displayed. -
Gauge pressure
- overpressure at port A. Selecting this option displays the Pg signal output port.
