Description
Block Torque Sensor It is a device that converts the torque acting on the sensor into a signal proportional to this torque.
The R and C connections are rotary mechanical ports. This sensor is connected in series with the unit on which the torque is measured. The sensor rigidly locks the R and C ports together to prevent movement between them, so connecting the sensor in parallel may affect the simulation results, since this is similar to adding a bypass connecting line between the connection points. Serial connection within the existing line does not affect the simulation results and ensures accurate measurement.
The T connection is the measurement result. The positive direction of the block is from port R to port C. This means that a positive torque applied to the R port (positive sensor connection) causes a positive output signal.
Ports
Output
T — torque, N*m
scalar
The signal output port for the torque.
R — shaft (positive sensor connection)
rotational mechanics
A mechanical rotary port corresponding to the positive connection of the sensor.
C — housing (negative sensor connection)
rotational mechanics
A mechanical rotary port corresponding to the negative connection of the sensor.
