Resistor
A resistor model for envelope analysis.
blockType: SubSystem

Description
Block Resistor simulates a resistor in an envelope simulation environment.
The block implements the ratio:
where
-
— resistance depending on temperature;
-
— the current passing through the capacitor at a certain point in time ;
-
— voltage at the terminals of the capacitor at a certain point in time .
Current and voltage signals in RF blocks consist of common-mode ( ) and quadrature ( ) components at each frequency specified in the block Configuration:
The block icon Resistor depends on the parameter value Simulate noise.
| The flag is selected Simulate noise | The checkbox is not checked Simulate noise |

# Simulate noise — thermal noise simulation
Details
Check this box to simulate thermal noise in the resistor. Then in the block Configuration also check the box Simulate noise. Both checkboxes are set By default.
This parameter determines the current noise source with a one-way power density equal to in A2/Hz, where
-
— Boltzmann constant;
-
— parameter value Temperature, K in the block Configuration.
