Setting up and running the model
Setting the parameters of the model
The two main parameters of the model are. Simulation interval (time interval for solving the differential equation) and Solver selection (method of solving the differential equation) and its tuning.
For more information about working with solvers in Engee see the article Getting started with solvers in Engee. |
To access the parameters of the model, left-click on the window Settings :
In the section Simulation interval sets the start and end of the time interval for the simulation. In the section Solver selection you can select the type of solver (variable/constant step) and the solver itself.
Running the simulation
To run the simulation, press the button Start . The current status of the simulation can be seen in the Status bar:
Modelling Statuses:
-
Ready - The model is ready to run.
-
Building - The model is being assembled.
-
Running - the model is assembled and the simulation is running.
-
Completed - simulation is completed and the result is obtained.
The Status bar also contains additional information such as:
-
the selected solver;
-
simulation time;
-
percentage of completion.
