stabilityk

Coefficient of stability two-port network.

Library

EngeeRF

Syntax

Function call

  • k,b1,b2,delta = stabilityk(s_params) — calculates and returns the stability coefficient k, as well as stability conditions b1, b2 and delta for a two-port network.

  • k,b1,b2,delta = stabilityk(hs) — calculates and returns the coefficient and stability conditions for a two-port network represented by the S-parameter object hs.

Arguments

Input arguments

# s_params — two- port S-parameters

+ array

Details

Two-port S-parameters, set as a complex array of size on on , where — the number of two-port S-parameters.

Типы данных

Float64

# hs — dual port network

+ the S-parameter object

Details

A two-port network defined as an object S-parameters.

Output arguments

# k is the stability coefficient

+ vector

Details

Coefficient of stability a two-port network returned as a vector.

# b1,b2 — stability conditions

+ vectors

Details

Stability conditions and two-port network data returned as vectors.

# delta — determinants of S-parameter matrices

+ vector

Details

The determinants of the S-parameter matrices of the two-port network, returned as a vector.

Algorithms

The necessary and sufficient conditions for sustainability are k > 1 and abs(delta) < 1. Function stabilityk calculates output values using formulas

where

  • , , and — S-parameters from the input argument s_params;

  • is a vector whose elements are determinants two-port S-parameter matrices:

The function performs these calculations element by element for each of the matrices of S-parameters in the argument s_params.
