stabilitymu

Coefficient of stability two-port network.

Library

EngeeRF

Syntax

Function call

  • mu,muprime = stabilitymu(s_params) — calculates and returns stability coefficients and for the S-parameters of a two-port network.

  • mu,muprime = stabilitymu(hs) — calculates and returns stability coefficients for a two-port network represented by an S-parameter object hs.

Arguments

Input arguments

# s_params — two- port S-parameters

+ array

Details

Two-port S-parameters specified as a complex array of size on on , where — the number of two-port S-parameters.

Типы данных

Float64

# hs — dual port network

+ the S-parameter object

Details

A two-port network defined as an object S-parameters.

Output arguments

# mu is the minimum distance between the center of the Smith unit diagram and the instability region in the load plane

+ vector

Details

The minimum distance between the center of the Smith unit diagram and the instability region in the load plane, returned as a vector whose length corresponds to the number of frequency points or data points.

# muprime is the minimum distance between the center of the Smith unit diagram and the instability region in the source plane

+ vector

Details

The minimum distance between the center of the Smith unit diagram and the instability region in the source plane, returned as a vector whose length corresponds to the number of frequency points or data points.

Algorithms

Function stabilitymu calculates the stability coefficients using the following equations:

where

  • , , and — S-parameters from the input argument s_params;

  • is a vector whose elements are determinants two-port S-parameter matrices:

  • is the complex conjugate value of the corresponding S-parameter.

The function performs these calculations element by element for each of the matrices of S-parameters in the argument s_params.
