Transmission of SV frames from KPM RHYTHM

Description

This example shows how to use blocks for transmitting SV frames (IEC 61850-9-2LE) from a power system model.

Model

Launching on KPM RHYTHM

The model is run in real time on KPM RHYTHM. The SV frames are received on the PC via the Ethernet port. In this way, it is possible to simulate the operation of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) with support for MEK61850.

Receiving SV frames on the PC side

Conclusions

With the help of Engee, a model of the power system has been created with the possibility of transmitting SV frames via the KPM RHYTHM Ethernet port for subsequent analysis or HIL testing of RPA digital terminals.
